About Passionfoods

In 1999, Yvonne Row and Ned Rockman bought a small ‘old style' organic fruit and vegetable store nestled in the heart of South Melbourne.

Installing their own kitchen to prepare take-home gourmet meals, chilled deli cabinets for the finest certified organic and biodynamic dairy, poultry, meat and vegetarian alternatives, along with aisle upon aisle of natural grocery, personal-care, wholesome basic foodstuffs, with local and imported exotic finds, Passionfoods was born.

With a team of food-savvy staff, weekly in-store tastings, and trading early till late 7 days a week, Passionfoods strikes a friendly chord with gourmands, the health conscious, busy executives and the planet aware.

In March 2004, after six years, Ned decided to move on and Yvonne is now the sole owner of Passionfoods with great plans for the future. So stay tuned!

Open 7 days a week. There's parking right outside our door, or for those who like the scenic route, you can catch the St. Kilda Light Rail (No 96) and it will drop you off next to our store.
